Tailgating is a huge gathering that occurs before home Browns games in the Lakefront “Muni” Municipal lot. Every game day, Cleveland fans crowd the Muni parking lot and party before watching the game. All of the most loyal Browns fans come together in their orange and brown gear to cookout, listen to music, play games and celebrate. To Browns fans, tailgating is not just a party, but a tradition and memorable experience, and trust me, Cleveland knows how to tailgate.
One of the main reasons Cleveland tailgates are so memorable is because of the Browns fans' creative and over-the-top outfits. These super fans come with their faces fully painted, in wild costumes and customized outfits. Extreme Browns fans are the reason tailgating is so fun and unforgettable. Their loyalty to the Browns runs deep and certainly shines through on game days. These fans are truly the life of the party with their passionate love for the Cleveland Browns.
One of the best parts about Cleveland State University (CSU) is that it’s located just minutes away from the newly renamed Huntington Bank Field. CSU students have easy access to tailgates and can be included in these exciting events. Emily Ginley, a senior at CSU, loves to participate in the Browns tailgates.
“My friends and I have a really big section at the Muni Lot with about 30-40 people,” said Ginley. "Tailgating hypes up the game and gets us in the spirit.”
One of Ginley’s most memorable tailgating stories is when her friend won $200 in an arm wrestling match against another Browns fan. Ginley described Cleveland Browns tailgating as a good time with good vibes!
