The 2nd annual Alternative Press Music Awards is set to come to the Quicken Loans Arena on July 22nd. The event is an awards show decided by the fans for the fans featuring live performances by AP artists. Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat of the pop punk band All Time Low, will host this year’s awards show. While last year’s event was held at the outside cramped Voinovich Park, the Q will provide more space and can host the event rain or shine. The awards show and concert drew nearly 7,000 artists and fans to Cleveland last year. The founder and publisher of Cleveland’s own Alternative Press Magazine, Mike Shea says that he is expecting even bigger and better things with the new venue. Tickets will be on sale soon, and voting will open in March for awards, such as: Song Of The Year and Best Live Band, at altpress.com/apmas.
